Christian Singles Conferences and Workshops Resources
As a known Christian Dating Expert, I hear from Christian singles of many different denominations as well as those single Christians who are part of non-denominational churches.http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif
They are asking me advice and tips for how to start just about any kind of local Christian Singles group in their various metropolitan areas.
Why are the singles themselves doing this?
Because many different Christian Churches are cutting back on their Christian Singles Groups or Christian Singles Ministries. In fact, quite a number of Christian churches these days are nearly preaching that "Just well maybe you were destined to remain single...." to many of their singles.
Which goes completely contradictory to what is in The Holy Bible.
In both the Hebrew Jewish section of the Bible as well as the Christian section of Scripture, there are repeated examples and metaphors of the expectation that just about everyone is called to and expected to marry. It is only the very rare case of the Apostles who were to travel as single men specifically carrying the Gospel into new lands only really who were "called to" a life of singledom.
So when married pastors suggest to singles, the majority of the singles in their parish and congregations that they are perhaps "called to" being single, I want to shake them and drop one of the heaviest versions of the Bible which I have on their foot hard enough to prompt them to say "OUCH!" Because I feel they are hurting and even damaging their singles when they preach mistakenly like that. I know it is not that they have an ill-intent. However, they are not dating or relationship experts. They are pastors. They are trained specifically to run a church and to preach from Scripture. *Sigh*
